My wife diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) and required surgical removal. Her HMO send her to Dr. Shreier to have consultation. Dr. Schreier reviewed her chart and told her that he was not able to treat her. What she needs is a specialist call hepatobiliary surgeon which only available in major hospital like USC and UCLA. He and his office staffs contact my wife's insurance and refer her to USC and make sure she will get referral as soon as possible. She got authorization in two hours. He and the whole office act above and beyond not only professional, courtesy but also compassion.
